Common rashes are often called dermatitis, meaning inflammation of the skin; they involve changes in the color or texture of the skin including skin redness or inflammation. Common rashes are also known as skin lesions, Rubor and Erythema.
Skin reactions are more common today due to many new fabrics in use. Some of the body rashes affect the whole body (termed as a generalized), where as others appear on discrete areas of the skin. Skin rashes can be self limiting or require medications. Babies often develop skin rashes because of irritation from the coloring materials in these fabrics. Skin or the body rash is a common term that describes a group of special spots, an area of inflammation or altered color or texture of the skin. Skin rashes might be associated with various other symptoms such as itching, tingling, burning, pain, inflammation and sometimes, surprisingly with no discomfort at all. Belladonna remedy is useful for conditions with sudden onset that are hot, bright red, and throbbing. Rash may be accompanied by fever.
Oatmeal bath is preferred
Applying olive oil to the rash could provide some relief.
Aloe Vera gel, cod liver oil and Vitamin E oil are also helpful in combating body rash.
Using baking powder on the affected area is another suggestion to deal with body and back rash.
Aloe Vera: Widely known for treating burns and sunburns, aloe vera also helps in healing wounds and minor skin irritations such as itchiness and rashes. This plant produces anti inflammatory, anti bacterial, and anti fungal properties. It also contains folic acid, zinc, and vitamins C and E.
Chamomile Essential Oil: Has anti inflammatory (anti-microbial) properties that soothes and eliminates an itchy skin rash and irritations. Chamomile is also used in treating eczema, psoriasis, and sunburn. Please be aware, people who are normally allergic to grass and ragweed may acquire an allergic reaction to chamomile.
Witch hazel: Acts as an astringent that relieves itching and minor skin inflammation. Also used for treating sunburns. For maximum benefit, use fresh witch hazel bark. Simmer one ounce of the bark with one pint of water and leave for ten minutes. Strain and cool. Apply with a clean cloth and leave it on for about thirty minutes.

Many natural remedy creams that provide instant and long-term relief rashes. The best home remedy for body rashes is to apply olive oil on the rash affected area. Itch relief is important, because scratching can itself irritate the skin and lead to more itching, creating an itching-scratching-itching cycle. Fingernails should be kept short to minimize abrasions from scratching. hello, I have a rash on my neck , lower back and on my chest it does not itch and it is some raised bumbs that is only noticeable by touch and close up look. the doctor prescribed me hydroxyine hcl and it does not seem to be helping ive had this for over two weeks and it gets worse and inflamed during heat or at work help what is it? and what will make it go away?
take an antihistamine but something is causing it. take a look at what you are ingesting that's new. it's happened to me twice. the first was from a prescription drug and this time from a vitamin. stop everything and wait until the rash has gone (claritin or benadryl will speed this up) and then add each thing to determine the cause.
PRE-NOTE--If you dont have time to read this whole thing at least READ THIS,USE A 50/50 MIX OF WATER &HYDROGEN PEROXIDE! put in a spray bottle use 5-6 times a day.in 1996 alot of events happened all at once that were extremely overwhelming, my pinkie finger started itching really bad ALL THE TIME! I would wake up in the nite scratching it so bad it was bleeding, so I went the Dr.s it was stress related we figured, so she said exercise more & do things I enjoyed. Gave me a cortisone cream & sent me on my way.Well over the years I have went to other Dr.s & dermatoligists'who basically said the same thing. Didnt really know WHAT it is.AND it has gotton worse when the break-outs happen ,its only on my hands its not contagious to other people or other parts of my body, but does seem to spread on my hands from the pus filled red itchy bumps, so I will pop them open witha needle in the shower to keep it from getting on my skin.So in my line of work I meet hundreds of people, now this skin problem isnt that noticeable being on the underside of my pinkie,so anyway a friend of mine is married to a Dr. & I told her about my hands, & she told me about a easy cheap solution to try,we all know we would try ANYTHING to get relief! you can look on-line for uses w/h.p (hydrogen peroxide) so I spray my finger w/a 50/50 mix of water & H.P. at first I used it 7-8 times a day for about a week or 10 days,it basically ate away the dead tissue or the callous. I couldnt believe it! all those years of suffering & all it took was a $1 bottle of H.P.!in about a month my pinkie looked & felt great,I was amazed. I still use it a couple times a week or when i think I'm getting stressed. It is also great for our toe/fingernails to kill bacteria/fungus.to kill toe fungus use a 75%/H.P. to 25 %water it will take about a year for it to clear up, at least 6 months for nails to grow out.lots of cleaning purposes too. so look for uses on h.p. it will save you alot of $$$$$ pass this tip on please,
you are an asshole.
I have a very important thing to ask i have a skin condition that no one knows what it is the spots are white and they turn red when i am in the sun they dont itch or any thing they are just big white ugly spots all over my body!!i need help to figure out what it is and what i can do about it than you Chasity morgan
kind of sounds like keratosis. my son has it, but a milder case on the back of his arms. keratosis is blocked pores, not much you can do about it, it feels like your skin is rough all the time. it is more annoying than anything else. you could ask a dermatologist or pharmacist for a possible course of treatment.
I am 22 years old, yesterday I felt something on the back of my right arm, looked in the mirror and there was a rash going from my elbow up to my shoulder sort of little ichy red spots. The first thing I thought of is an allergic reaction to something, then something maye had bitten me I just didnt know. This morning I woke up and it is on the other arm on the back of my arm from my elbow to my shoulder and on my back in places.I took a shower and the hot water from the shower made me ich so bad. I took Benedril and it has helped the iching but this is freaking me out. Any suggestions anybody?
Sounds like Scabbies...
hot water makes it much worse
i am 23 years old, and have a similar condition. I thought it was poison ivy at first because when the bumps fully develop they weep oil. The oil from the sore doesn't seem to spread it; but I after 2 weeks I still can't rid my skin of this itchy rash. I have tried to treat it with calamine lotion, hydrocortizone cream, oatmeal, aloe, and benedryl. More bumps keep appearing as soon as the others go away, so I have determined that I have developed a new allergy to something in my environment. I don't know what, or how to get rid of it without taking allergy meds.
I have had a rash/itch on my pelvis, underarm, under my breast and on both sides of my waist, for about 8 months or more. I have used everything from topical creams to antibotic Bactrim. Nothing has helped at all. The strange thing is it sort of rotates. One day it is on one part and then next on another, and sometimes on all together. It then leaves one spot and when I think maybe it is gone, it returns. It sometimes turns to small ant bite like scabs. Under my arms feels like knots and it burns when I scratch it, but then the scratching will giv some relief. I have recently found out I have Crohns but the doctors say there is no connection. I am not sure, but now I have an ear problem that I think is associated with this rash. My ears become swollen and drain but I have no inner ear pain. This ear problem is also recurring, it comes and then it goes. I have received ear drops from the doc but that doesn't seem to help.
If anyone knows anything about any of these symptoms, please help.
